WriterAccess.com

I use WriterAccess on a daily basis, or at least try to.  Although they don’t have much work available for average writers, the pay out for the work they do have is worth keeping an eye on a few times throughout the day.

With WriterAccess, writers can pull orders from an open pool and write the content needed.  These can be articles, blog posts, product descriptions, and more depending on the content needed.  Once the work is submitted to a client, you as the writer have no legal right to the content and they can do with it as they please.  If you’d rather take credit for your own words, then freelance ghostwriting is not for you.

Starting Out
WriterAccess.com has a short grammar test you need to take on their website.  This test will gauge your abilities and your starting level.  As time progresses, you can increase your level with quality content, happy clients, and frequent order production.

Job Orders
At any given time, there can be work orders available for your current level and lower to complete.  These are usually for websites, but as the content belongs to the client, they can use it for what ever they want.  The orders don’t appear to be in any particular order aside from one page after another of order titles that could interest you.  If you are starting out, the system will not let you write more than one article per client until the client accepts the article.  I was able to write a couple of articles for a client recently, but I don’t know if it is because I have been with them for several months or because I have completed several for that particular client already.

If a client likes your work, they place you in their “Love List“.  This list is the clients personal connection to you and can lead to higher paying content.

Idea Orders are available from clients who are just looking for ideas and titles.  While these vary in pay, most of them will be worth $1.05 per idea.  It’s a quick way to grab a couple of bucks.

Casting Calls are there for writers to apply directly for specific clients.  You apply to the calls as you would a job with a short essay on why you would be a good fit for the task.  These casting call clients pay more and provide a greater stream of work than sitting around waiting for open orders to come in.

Workflow
The workflow for average writers is a bit low compared to the others.  Sometimes the work orders can be sparse and appear to be sporadic when they do arrive.  As I have not increased past level 3 yet, I am not sure if more work is available at the higher levels.  Some of the other content writing sites show you what work you are missing by not being a specific level.

The Pay
WriterAccess.com pays out very well for the content you provide.  In some cases, it is more than double what you can make on other content writing sites.  You do need a PayPal account to accept your payments, which are currently set to the beginning of the month – between the 6th and the 10th for the previous month.  I am a proponent of using PayPal and I use my PayPal Mastercard on a daily basis, so this form of payment is perfect for me.

Advancement
When clients accept your content, they leave a rating of the work you provided.  Using mathematical adjustments, WriterAccess will raise or lower your level depending on the quality of work you provided.

Despite the lack of orders on WriterAccess.com, it is still one of the sites I log into several times per day to grab work.  The rate of pay is just too high to be ignored and the extra few dollars appearing monthly in my PayPal account is quite handy on days I need gas money.  It is definitely worth the time it takes to fill out the form and take the test.
