Here are websites we’ve come across that are unconfirmed if they are legitimate or not. Confirmation of legitimacy to WriterSanctuary.com is evidence of payment, writer protection from fraudulent clients, and stability. Although you may use these sites regularly, we have not. We do not accept “testimonials” and “images of payments” as proof of a legal and trustworthy site as these can be faked. Our founder is a Photoshop professional and has duplicated testimonials before in order to prove a point that they can’t be trusted.
These are websites we are currently investing our time into in order to ascertain their legality. You can use these sites at your own risk, but if you get ripped-off, this is your warning to take heed. Only sites that have passed our initial legitimacy tests are listed here in order to reduce the chance of being scammed.
Constant-content.com – 12/30/2012
So far, Constant-Content.com seems to be a good site. Instead of completing job orders as per TextBroker.com and WriterAccess.com, you have the option to write your own articles and upload them to the system for buyers to pick up. If this site works as good as it says it does, then this could be another avenue for talented writers to sell their work. The only downside is the fact that you can spend several hours per day writing content only for it to sit on their system without a buyer. The time could be better spent writing for guaranteed pay from TextBroker.com and WriterAccess.com. However, we’ll keep trying with Constant-Content.com and see if there is some truth behind making money using their website.
ArticleTeller.com – 12/29/2012
This was an easy site to sign up with. No verification of skills was present, although our writer is the lowest possible level until he writes an article. The interface is well designed, but seems to be missing a lot of profile functionality. It resembles a website that is still under construction. A lot of the attractive features are “down for maintenance” and have been so for the past two weeks. We’ll see if this site pans out or is it a failed attempt at a content providing company.
Freelancer.com – 4/5/2014
Freelancer.com doesn’t have that professional feel to the website. Although there are plenty of various jobs, it makes me paranoid to put in the time for the off chance of being scammed. Still, the system provides you with information of whether a client has prepaid for a job or not. Personally, I think it feels more like a “Craig’s List” type of site…some good experiences intermingled with scam and insanity.
oDesk.com – 4/5/2014
There are multitudes of work available on oDesk.com. In fact, many social service departments in the US will suggest the site to unemployed individuals. The system is clean and well developed allowing you to easily find work that you’re capable of doing. One of my favorite aspects of the site is the ability to take a variety of tests in order to gauge your talents. Although we haven’t had a chance to actually complete an order for this website, it does have a great deal of promise.
