What Can You Do to Make Money Writing in 2018?

According to the infograph, writers are capable of making an average of roughly $50,000 per year. However, there are many variables that come into play when trying to reach this amount.

For instance, you would have to expand your client base and expand what you do when using content mills like Textbroker.

The main thing to take from all this information is how writing in 2018 spans across a multitude of industries. This is because so many businesses are focusing on content marketing, especially on the Internet.

But don’t take my word for it. Check out the data direct from Global English Editing and determine if writing is something you’d be interested in.

How

Bloggers Make How Much?

While it’s true that some bloggers can make an incredible amount of money, not everyone has that capacity. For one thing, it takes an awful lot of work and marketing to really bring in the dough from a blog.

I’m not saying that it’s impossible. However, you do need to realize that you can’t just simply start a blog and begin pulling in the money. Remember, it takes a lot of traffic to generate any significant amount from a blog on average.

Interesting content, your audience and how you engage others off-site will influence how successful you are as a blogger. It’s a lot of work, but worth every moment in the long run.

Finding the Right Niche for You

A large part of your success is determined by what niche fits your needs. Are you more comfortable writing in an office environment, or do you like sitting at your desk at home?

Luckily, it’s not overly difficult to break into being a wordsmith. You don’t even need a college degree. I started writing in 2012 and only attended college for about a year for graphic design.

Diversify Your Interests

Like I’ve been saying for years, it’s beneficial to diversify yourself. Don’t stick to just one style or industry if you want to succeed. It opens the doors to more clients, better pay and greater opportunities.

Since 2012, I’ve created everything from computer equipment instruction manuals to simple blog posts about sidewalks and paver stones. The more flexible you are, the greater the available work. It’s literally that simple.

All it Really Takes is Effort

It’s not impossible to make money writing in 2018. For the most part, it’s all about effort and whether you’re willing to do what it takes to succeed. Just don’t expect success to instantly land in your lap. It could be a while before you can reap the fruits of your hard work.

Like I tell my kids and everyone else who I help: “Never give up, never surrender!”[template id=”2089”]
