Because that’s what this is all about; giving you content you want to consume while making it worth the $5 per month.

What Membership Rewards Are Available Right Now?
I’ve been wracking my brain trying to come up with something that is worthwhile for those who support WriterSanctuary. And at the moment, I think it’s a little light.

Sunday Morning News
Every Sunday morning, I write a members-only blog post on Buy Me a Coffee. Essentially, it’s a recap of how the week went for myself and WriterSanctuary while highlighting the plan for the next.
This is information and news that I don’t published on any other blog. Meaning what you learn in these posts isn’t available on WriterSanctuary.com nor MichaelBrockbank.com.
This often contains inner thoughts, ideas, and hopes. Think of it like a weekly journal where I break down everything I want to accomplish with WriterSanctuary.
Access to WriterSanctuary’s Discord
I have a private Discord set up for WriterSanctuary. And it’s probably one of the easiest ways to get in touch with me. For the most part, it’s because social sites like Facebook wait several hours before sending me a notification.
Discord will chime and show a notification number on the Chrome tab in my browser as soon as someone messages. And since I have Discord open all the time, it’s far easier to interact with me.
Though, I am pretty active on Twitter.
Members-Only Video Content (coming soon)
I’ve been trying to come up with some special video content for anyone who pays for a membership on Buy Me a Coffee. These are probably going to be some behind-the-scenes type of content. Though, I don’t really know how exciting I am.
It’s not like I’m a travel blogger or some swimsuit model showing off my shoes.
But, I would like to put more video content out there that is only available for members. These will probably just be short update videos, perhaps some inspirational segments, and more than likely uncut, raw footage.
What Are Some Membership Rewards I’m Debating?
Personally, I don’t think what I have available is enough meat. I want to give someone a reason to justify $5 per month. But, what I have, I suppose, is a good start.

Right now, though, here are a few ideas I’ve come up with that are possible contenders:
Writing and Blogging Courses
This was an idea someone gave me a long time ago. I could create courses on how to succeed as a freelance writer. Whether you’re into content mills like Textbroker or want to find private clients, I have a lot of information to share.
I also have a great deal of knowledge when it comes to blogging and WordPress. After all, I manage sites all day for my clients.
In reality, most of what I learn goes into this blog or in a YouTube video. So, these courses will probably be more of a condensed version focused on specifics.
In fact, I’ve already been looking at a few learning management systems to add to WordPress. Or, I could set up an entire new domain while using Moodle.
Discounts on eBooks Once They’re Published
One of my goals for 2021 is to write more eBooks. I would like to dive into both fiction and non-fiction pieces. Though, the first few I publish on this site will center more around freelance writing, blogging, WordPress, and other materials to help you succeed.
When I do finally get some more creative pieces available, they’ll probably be sold on MichaelBrockbank.com. But, I’ll make sure the discounts work on that site as well.
At any rate, I’m sure I’ll have something available that everyone can enjoy. At least, that’s the goal.
Monthly Short Stories
Another idea I’m toying with for a membership to my Buy Me a Coffee account is access to monthly short stories. At which point, I might very well combine them into an actual book.
Anyway, the idea is to give members access to these short stories every month. You’ll gain access to first-draft materials I create not found anywhere else.
Even though I use Wattpad for rough drafts, these will be separate. The Wattpad page is to help me generate an audience and boost hype about a book I’m about to publish. The Buy Me a Coffee membership gives you access to materials outside of that element.
Working on the Next Poll
I am currently working on setting up a new user poll. This will include the ideas above and a space available for writing in your own suggestions. I’ll let it run until I have at least 100 results.
In reality, that could probably take a while. Mostly because not everyone who visits the website bothers to take the poll. But, if there is a clear high-performing idea according to votes, I’ll probably implement it immediately.

Although the poll uses cookies and IP tracking, it’s only to ensure one vote per person. I don’t collect any other personal data outside of the scope of this.
This data is used to help me create a layout that users and visitors want to see in future content and development of WriterSanctuary.
What Would You Like to Have?
If you have any ideas about something I could add to Buy Me a Coffee to justify membership, I am open to suggestions. Like I said before, this is all about you and what you find valuable.
But in the meantime, I’ll continue to do what I can to keep the top spinning for WriterSanctuary.
