On Monday, November 18th, MJ James joins me on After Hours for a live interview. We’ll be discussing MJ’s journey, the types of books they write, and what they hope to accomplish with their works.
MJ was one of the authors who joined us at Read Between the Stars in Lakewood. I had the pleasure of speaking with them for quite a while and am looking forward to having them on the show.
I hope we get to attend another event together in the near future!
A Bit About MJ James
MJ earned a BA in Psychology and an MS in Developmental Psychology. This was after being diagnosed on the autism spectrum, fueling the writing they put into their books.
MJ also has a YouTube channel where they talk about books, autism, and methods for writing specific nuero-types of characters. Coincidentally, MJ James also has writing sprint timers on their channel that are much different from my own. For instance, I use background ambient sounds and MJ uses more musical scores.
I do like the timer on the videos, though. It’s something I’ve been trying to figure out how to manage while doing the live sprints.
MJ is a neurodivergent, non-binary author who works to help others with their work. And I am excited to have them on the show on Monday.
