On September 9th, 2024, Maddi Bluhme joins me on After Hours for a live interview. She is a relatively new author as her book, This Cruel Fate, was published just last week. We’ll talk about her book, inspiration, and what she has planned for the future.
Coincidentally, she is also going to be joining me at Read Between the Stars on October 20th.
A Bit About Maddi Bluhme
Maddi has a BFA (Bachelor of Fine Arts) in Creative Writing while living in Colorado. And her debut book was recently released as the first part of a series.
Maddi is also probably one of the youngest and newest authors I’ve had on the show. That means information regarding Maddi Bluhme is somewhat sparse. But we all start from somewhere, right?
However, she is relatively busy on Goodreads; far more active than I am, that is for sure. I’ve wanted to expand more, but when your life is wall-to-wall chaos, time is often against you.
Maddi also has a YouTube channel where she talks about books while offering tips for both writers and readers.
One thing I would like to point out, though, is that it isn’t often that I come across someone who can challenge themselves to grind out 10,000 words in a single day. Well, outside of myself, anyway. It’s not that easy, especially when life has a habit of sidetracking your efforts.
Or if you have kids.
Where Can You Find Her Books?
You can pick up This Cruel Fate on Amazon and you’re able to add it to Goodreads, should you have an account. Although Maddi’s book is available on her blog, the link also takes you to the Amazon page.
You can also follow Maddi on Substack.
I love having new authors on the show. It gives me a chance to keep an eye on them and see how they grow over time. Some journeys have been very interesting to watch, and I’m looking forward to seeing where Maddi Bluhme takes her writing.
Hope to See You There
You can join us on September 9th, 2024 on the YouTube channel at 7 pm MTN time. It’s convenient that we’re both in Colorado. I don’t have to worry about keeping someone up too late.
Feel free to bring your questions along and meet the author. And don’t forget, we’ll both be at Read Between the Stars on October 20th in Lakewood, CO.
