On January 6th, Barbara Ridley joins me for a live interview on After Hours. We’ll talk about her creative writing journey and the work she has put into professional journals. Barbara is also my first interview of the year, so that’s another reason you should attend.
It’s always good to start the year with a great interview. It sets the tone for how the rest of the year will unfold.
A Bit About Barbara Ridley
Barbara Ridley is a silver medal IBPA Benjamin Franklin Award winner with her debut book, When It’s Over. It’s a coming-of-age book based in Prague during the 1930s and spans through World War II.
In other words, it’s probably a book I would really get into as I am a fan of anything from that era. I began as a history buff after reading The Diary of a Young Girl by Anne Frank in middle school.
Barbara was originally born in England but has spent most of her life living in California. She had a successful career as a nurse practitioner, which gave her a chance to publish in professional journals. Afterward, Barbara moved on to focus on creative writing.
Where Can You Find Barabara’s Books
Currently, you can find both of Barbara Ridley’s books on Amazon as well as Barnes & Noble. And When It’s Over is available on Audible for those who enjoy audiobooks.
You can also check out the page on Simon & Schuster where you can find When It’s Over. Her latest book, Unswerving, is available from the University of Wisconsin Press.
Barbara has also published a lot of stories on various platforms across the Internet.
See You Monday Night!
Join us on January 6th at 7:00 PM (MTN) on WriterSanctuary’s YouTube channel for the live interview with Barbara Ridley. I’m looking forward to learning more about the author and winning the silver IBPA award with her debut novel, which is quite an accomplishment.
