On December 23rd, 2024, Annie Dawid joins me on After Hours for a live interview. We’ll be discussing her books and what she has planned for the future. This is the last interview for the year and I’m excited to have Annie on the show.
I am debating on setting up seasons for the interviews. Mostly to keep them organized. Not to mention that it might be nice to just relax for the holidays. But we’ll see. Regardless, I’m looking forward to chatting with Annie, especially about her book, Paradise Undone.
A Bit About Annie Dawid
Annie Dawid has had a long writing career, whether she was working on books or as a teacher in Adelaide, Australia. She’s also taught workshops at the Castle Rock Writers Conference in 2013 and 2017, here in my home state of Colorado.
Annie is also an artist with a variety of photographs and crafted rugs as part of her portfolio. Not to mention playing tennis and competitive Scrabble.
No stranger to events, Annie has attended a wide range of them from workshops to literary conferences.
Annie has a collection of essays, columns, and poems available on her website. This includes a long list of short stories published on a slew of websites.
If that’s not enough, Annie Dawid is also a freelance editor and reviewer, helping others for almost three decades.
Where Can You Find Annie’s Books?
You can find Annie’s books available on Amazon. Perhaps the most popular is Paradise Undone: A Novel of Jonestown. Since I am a bit of a history buff, I’m looking forward to asking a few questions regarding that particular book and the similarities of today’s climate.
If you don’t know anything about Jonestown, I suggest picking up Paradise Undone. The recordings from that particular incident haunt me to this day.

I was on the fence about having a live interview so close to Christmas as most people are probably too busy or would rather relax for the holidays. So, I am glad Annie agreed to be on the show on the 23rd.
